Partners by Design is proud to be recognized by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) as the recipient of the 2025 COMMUNITY Medium Firm Award, part of the prestigious ASID National Awards Program.

This honor celebrates the firm’s work on the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s an expansion designed to advance food equity and strengthen community resilience across the region. The project introduces Chicago’s Community Kitchens, a state-of-the-art facility producing meals daily for vulnerable populations, including older adults, people with disabilities, and those requiring medically tailored diets.

The jury commended Partners by Design for demonstrating how design can drive measurable social impact. By integrating functionality, flexibility, and purpose, the project not only supports the Food Depository’s mission to alleviate hunger but also fosters economic opportunity through the creation of living wage jobs and partnerships to source additional meals from community-based vendors.

Partners by Design was recognized alongside other national honorees at GATHER: The National Conference by ASID, taking place this August in Atlanta, GA. Thank you to all of our partners who helped make this project such a success including but not limited to:
