About the Project
The Greater Chicago Food Depository’s Nourish Project represents a bold vision for food access, community resilience, and social impact. Phase II of this campus expansion delivers a LEED Silver-certified facility that doubles production for Chicago’s Community Kitchens, preparing thousands of meals daily for older adults, people with disabilities, and those requiring medically tailored diets. The project not only alleviates hunger but also creates living-wage jobs and builds partnerships with local businesses to expand food access and economic opportunity across Chicago.
All are welcome to join us at Designight 2025 on Thursday, September 18, 2025, when this award will be conferred. The celebration will be held at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance and the Harris Theater Rooftop Terrace in Millennium Park.
