  • “Empathy is at the core of my design approach. I believe great architecture begins with understanding the people we’re designing for—why a space exists, how it’s used, and who it serves. When we lead with empathy, we create spaces that are not only functional and beautiful, but genuinely meaningful.”

Since earning a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2022, AJ has contributed to a range of impactful projects spanning warehouse, hospitality, and workplace design. Their professional experience includes roles at Dunne Kozlowski and Lamar Johnson Collaborative, where they worked across all phases of design—from As-Built documentation to Design Development and Construction Documents—primarily using Revit. Project highlights include a 168,000-square-foot Coca-Cola warehouse expansion, a hospitality renovation in Hudson, NY, and a 50,000-square-foot workplace build-out for UL. In addition to project delivery, AJ has supported client proposals, collaborated with firm leadership to gain insight into business operations, and completed 100% of the required AXP hours for architectural licensure. AJ’s design philosophy centers on empathy—valuing the people they design for, the purpose behind each space, and the collaboration required to bring projects to life.
