Foxtrot is an omnichannel, digitally native, next generation corner store that curates daily essentials and thoughtful food experiences that are a reflection of the cities they call home. Since launching their app in 2013, Foxtrot now operates a robust e-commerce platform and 20+ retail stores in Chicago, DC, and Dallas and are rapidly scaling to take this first-of-its-kind omnichannel brand nationwide. Their storefronts offer the most-loved aspects of neighborhood cafes: beautifully designed interiors that wrap consumers in the welcoming aroma of locally-sourced coffee, comfortable lounge areas to work and relax in, and chef-prepared meals to snack on throughout the day.
Due to this rapid growth, Foxtrot, having outgrown their River North office, turned to Partners by Design to help them design their new headquarter location in Chicago’s booming Fulton Market neighborhood. The main focus was to design a creative, collaborative, and inspiring space. Pulling notes and design direction from their retail stores, the Foxtrot office space is full of clean lines and a strong collection of neutral palettes. Their large test kitchen dramatically anchors the front half of the office and rightly so, as they are a creative, super food focused, and innovative treat purveyor company. Pin up and collaboration nooks dot the open office layout to share what is going on with different stores around the country. This new headquarter space hosts their growing team and helps foster creativity as they expand their Chicago footprint and enter new markets across the US.
